A NEW DAY HAS DAWNED
Peter Parker ran his hand through his dark brown hair, and looked at himself in the bathroom mirror. He looked the same as he always did, except now his hair was completely mussed up, as opposed to the neat part her normally kept it in. Maybe Mary Jane Watson would like his hair like this, all crazy and different. Maybe it would help her notice him...
”Wishful thinking, Parker.”
Talking to himself was something that Peter had come accustom to doing. He didn't have many friends, except for the Math Club, and the people that he talked to on internet forums. Aunt May was always busy in their tiny window-garden (seeing as New York City allowed not much garden space), and Uncle Ben was always caught up doing whatever it was that Uncle Ben was doing. Peter never could keep up.
”Get it together, Parker. You've got a big day ahead of you. Reed Richards might even be at the Nuclear Waste Exhibit today. Wouldn't that be awesome?”
Peter finally left the bathroom after brushing his teeth. After a few minutes of deciding, Peter decided it would be a good day to wear khaki pants, a white undershirt, and a nice red button up shirt. He had to look his best, because the whole high school was heading to the Nuclear Waste Exhibit, and that meant that he would get a chance to talk to Mary Jane.
”If I can somehow use my wits to lure her away from the jocks. Yeah, right. Who do you think you are, Parker? Johnny Storm?”
Peter finished putting his clothes on, as he crossed his room to grab his book-bag from his window-side desk. The sun from the window was beaming in brightly, causing Peter to shield his eyes. He pulled up the blinds, placed his hand above his eyes to provide shade, and looked at the sun.
”Maybe today will be a different day, after all. It couldn't get any worse... And if it does, I'll blog about it later.”
Peter dropped the blinds, snatch up his book-bag, and headed towards the kitchen where the smell of bacon was coming from.
