Wade Wilson got cancer. Ain't that a bitch?
The Weapon X program offered Wade the opportunity to cure his cancer. A mercenary for hire with a terminal illness, after all, doesn't get paid all that well...if he is able to find work at all. Wade took Weapon X up on their offer but was duped. Sure, they cured his cancer but it also horrible mutilated his body and after escaping, he was forced to cover up at all times. Endowed with a healing factor and a brand new personal teleporter that he swiped from Weapon X, Wade is back out in the world and he is slowly learning that his body may not have been the only thing affected by his treatment...
Now he is a mercenary for hire codenamed Deadpool. Most of his jobs are on the wrong side of the law so it has forced the expert swordsman to spill innocent blood. Currently he is staying in New York to gain intel on a group that could pose a problem for him and his 'supernatural' activities, The Fantastic Four. Equipped with quick wit, superhuman EVERYTHING and a gray social outlook...Deadpool hasn't exactly decided where he fits into the 'new world'.
I want to play Deadpool because he isn't your average black and white superhero. He can be both a villain and a hero...all while cracking terrible jokes. He is by far one of Marvel's more interesting characters and that says a lot, considering he is a complete rip off of Deathstroke. That controversy didn't stop his development and now he is far and away more popular than his DC counterpart. Plus, I can write awful jokes and it actually works for a character like Wade.
